Re: “The ejection fraction is low by about 20 percent.”
Don't get hung up on the number of years you have left. Focus instead on the quality of your DAYS, making them count. Spend them with the people you love doing the things you love.

I'm more deeply honored than you can possibly know that you want to spend even a little of that time up here with us.

Do a lot of talking. You might not think your family members want to know all the little details... and some of them won't. But others will, and when you're gone it will be too late. Remember that as the family patriarch, you have a ton of family history in your head that the others lack. Do you have family photos? Or videos on DVD? Review them - ideally in the presence of whoever has the most interest in them. Write down dates and names on their backs. If you feel ambitious, scan and document them. If you share them over the internet, a small part of you goes on. (This was a mistake Nemo made... but then he didn't have much time from when he got the news until he was no longer functional.)

If you think your family will be mature about it, share information about your estate with them, including how you want it divided one day. Get their questions answered while you're still here. There's nothing worse for a child who has lost his or her parents than not knowing what they would have wanted. Families break up over physical belongings and execution of the will. It happens all the time. Be sure to include a clause that says if anyone challenges the executor of your will (who you need to know you can trust, of course), the challenger will receive the sum of one dollar.

And the ejection fraction is just a guess. Only a guess. Based on sketchy pictures they take for a short period of time. They can't actually tell how efficiently the heart is beating without sticking something into it (i.e. doing an angiogram.)

Hang in there. You're going through a sucky part of life, but it's still life and life is always better than the alternative.

I'm glad to hear you aren't in much pain.

They have had time to analyze the images and pumping of my heart earlier today and measure blood pump performance.

Its lower than it should be by about 20 percent.

More pills to take...

Also, my lifespan with this heart failure is between 4-9 years. Likely closer to the lower number. The 9 is rare. Men with my condition normally make it 5 years on average.

Women with it last ten years.

So I have medicine changes coming and now need to ponder what I want to do with the remaining time I have left..
First things are to get the estate items and transfers of accounts taken care of so my wife is basically the owner of them all. This way there is no financial transferring of anything when I leave this world.

Unlike Nemo, I am not in excruciating pain for which I am grateful. I am tired a lot but keep going. I do not know how long I can keep up with my usual driving schedule to see clients. Those will be coming to a close sometime soon. I would like to enjoy some things before I die iffen I can get miz micro to go with me. Savannah's Gardens is one of them.

I am somewhat a little surprised at the results of that test today but Doc was not. The ejection fraction is low by about 20 percent. That means the amount of blood being pumped is a good deal less than what is considered normal.. The heart muscle itself actually has turned color to this gray shade instead of Red. Itw as partly like that when I had the surgery but it is even more now.

I hope I make it five more years. But if not, I will enjoy being with The Lord Jesus who loves me, and gave Himself for me making atonement for my sin and providing eternal life by His grace through faith in Him. HE paid the price of my sin debt Himself..

That is what EASTER is all about. Atonement for our sins and salvation for our souls! Eternal life with HIM in a brand new body.

I wish you all a Blessed Easter this Sunday.

My best to you,

micro...
