As you know,
today we celebrate the Resurrection of The Lord Jesus Christ! Because HE conquered both SIN AND DEATH over this three day period by the offering of the Divine Blood that was HIS as a sacrifice for the sins of the whole world for all time to God the Father, we have Forgiveness of sins IF we confess them to HIM with a contrite heart, AND< much more, We are given ETERNAL Life. That means when this body wears out and stops, (death) OUR spirit (which is US) is immediately transported by our accompanying Angel into the presence of GOD and given a brand new body that is eternal and will never wear out AND LOOKS JUST LIKE US without ANY imperfections or afflictions..
We have had our sins forgiven and given eternal life with God and the Lord Jesus for eternity.
THIS is why we celebrate EASTER. The Son of God sacrificed HIMSELF to satisfy our sin debt and to pay it with HIS OWN BLOOD for all of us and thus satisfy the penalty of death that GOD has.
Scripture tells us that The WAGES (penalty) of SIN is DEATH. BUT... The GIFT of GOD is eternal Life THRU JESUS CHRIST our Lord.
Every person ever born has that option to claim that pardon of their sins against God and be cleansed of them thru the Blood of Christ, and forgiven by the Father, and have your name recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life and thus have entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven to worship HIM for all eternity!
I went over these things several times with Nemo before he left this world. I am hopeful that he humbled himself before God and trusted Christ as Savior and Lord.
I'll see him again when I get there if he did..
SO EASTER hold very special meaning and SIGNIFICANCE for all people on this planet. EVERY single one of us can come to Christ. It does not matter if you are an ARAB, Chinese, Jew, Russian, or American .
"ALL have fallen short of the glory of God"
likewise, Jesus DIED for "ALL"
PAUL said, "this is a faithful saying and worthy of ALL ACCEPTATION, that Christ Jesus came into this world to SAVE SINNERS, of whom I am chief".
IF Paul thinks he was the chief of sinners, I can only wonder how BAD I am.. FAR, FAR more unworthy than HE ever was..
I thank the GOD of Heaven and The SON of GOD, our Savior and Lord for touching my heart many years ago and forgiving me of my sins both then and thru this very minute..
When my heart finally beats its last beat, I will taken to Heaven by my angel who will escort me on that journey and bring me into the Eastern Gate into HIS presence.
My name will be read from the Lamb's BOOK of Life signifying I have trusted Christ as Savior and my name is written in HIS Book, with everyone else who has Trusted HIM.
I have lots to be grateful for and a debt I can never repay to the One who created me, Loved ME, and Gave HIMSELF for me. The same is also true for you.
In the scheme of time and God's rule over all the universe and creation, we are HIS creation and have a soul which was given us and IS a piece of GOD when He blew into Adam THE BREATH of LIFE.
BECAUSE JESUS LIVES and conquered the GRAVE, DEATH and took the Keys of Hell and SIN and Death away from Satan, we have an advocate with the Father who will say to HIM, "he or she is one of MINE FAther. Welcome into my Kingdom thou good and faithful servant".
THAT is what I long to hear on my graduation day and is what EASTER is really about!
