But I saw nothing done that would discourage the protesters from doing it again. For me, that's an enormous FAIL. 

Seems to me we already have a Biblical story about somebody that did attempt to do something that (he thought) would discourage some troublemakers from doing it again. If memory serves, that somebody drew out a sword and cut off an ear of a troublemaker. Didn't go so well for that 'somebody', both that night and over the next day.

His name; Peter, a disciple of Christ. "Before the cock crows ..."

Absolutely. They were very nice. But I saw nothing done that would discourage the protesters from doing it again. For me, that's an enormous FAIL. But I suppose churchgoers might see stronger action as inappropriate or un-Christian.
