Professor
I agree with about 99 percent of what you have written eloquently as is your normal manner.
I am not willing at this point to split hairs over something that we will find out when it is our appointed time to be promoted to HIS Kingdom. That time is different for everyone as you already know.
I am told in about 5 years I will be going home to spend eternity with our Creator and Lord. But the docs cannot be precise or exact so the appointed time will be what HE decides and not the doctors here on planet earth.
MAY I SAY or add one more thing to the process of repentence unto salvation I have taught and preached many times in my life? CONVICTION always comes first, and after one is convicted (convinced) of their guilt and sin against a Holy GOD, then their heart is right for repentence to occur, confession of their sin to God, forgiveness to be granted by HIM, and a spiritual and supernatural transformation of a living soul to be cleansed , forgiven and transformed into a child of the KING. Their name is written down in The Lamb's Book of Life. It is already recorded in The Book of Life upon their birth.
It is amazing to me and never gets old reading the descriptions we have Heaven in scripture. I have many family members already there including two brothers in Law, BOTH Vietnam Vets as well. 101st Airborne.
I agree 100 percent about Repentence being a WORK of God the Holy Spirit. It is the Spirit that CONVICTS and leads us unto repentence. And salvations IS ALL OF GOD and NONE of MAN. It is specifically of the Lord Jesus Christ.. WHo loved us and GAVE HIMSELF for us, and shed HIS BLOOD for our sins ("for without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin").
DO You know WHY Christ had to taste death for every man UPON a Roman Cross? WHY a cross? They could have just executed him . BUT as we know, GOD was in control and in charge of this.
The Scriptures state that 'Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree". HE became the scapegoat of scripture for all mankind forever.. Substitutionary death is what a scapegoat represents.
I would enjoy being with you in person Professor. We have a lot in common and it is rare to be able to talk with someone on a higher level.
I appreciate YOUR takes and insights professor.
Glad you shared them!
