Re: “my dad reached down and grabbed me by the coat and yanked me up..”
Every so often, a snowboarder goes headfirst into a drift and gets stuck. It sounds funny but they can die that way, with their arms pinned to their sides. I know a guy that almost happened to. He said he was starting to panic when he finally worked himself loose.

De

we here in the Buckeye state were happy to share that weather system with y'all. We figgered you would enjoy it more than we would although the folks who live at the "Mistake on the Lake" area receive a WHOLE LOT more than us more refined folks here in the South along the Ohio River Valley.. Thumbs Up

That layer of white looks really nice and beautiful.. Sorry to say but I am glad its you and not me...

Folk in real southern areas like Georgia and Texas have no clue how to handle those minor situations when they occur. It requires a "hardier" individual to really dig in with yer shovel, snow blower, Snow-bladed tractor, and one horsepower muscles. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

In my case, when we get snow that requires removing I call my grandson and he gets it done.. That's worked out well so far!

BTW
that video reminds me of when I was THREE years old abd my father drove us all out to his parents house on top of a mountain in Reading Pennsylvania one winter. It snowed heavily there and by the time we had arrived my grandfather apparently had a snowplow come into his very long (1/8 mile) drive and clean it off leaving mounds on both sides. So when we arrived I got out of the car and thought I was going to climb over the top of the mound.

I disappeared down to the bottom of the pile. All I heard was mom shrieking and then my dad reached down and grabbed me by the coat and yanked me up..

Never forgot it...
