I could only take 30 minutes of that 2 hour kum-bay-ya interview.
Tulsi SOUNDS like she is on point, unless one listens very closely and realizes just how limited her knowledge and understanding of other cultures truly is. She sounds good, but she is dead wrong on so many things, and truly does NOT understand war.
WAR SHOULD ALWAYS BE TERRIBLE - not just to the soldiers, but also to their wives, children, neighbors and the 'other' so-called civilians in these conflicts. Things like the Geneva Convention LOOK GOOD, and 'limiting civilian casualties' SOUNDS GOOD - but they are not. Those things are done to SANITIZE WAR and have the actual end result of making war supposedly less monstrous, but actually make war far more probable and profitable.
Two falsehoods right off the bat.
1. Haliburton made 'trillions and trillions' of dollars Npt true, Tulso but it sure feeds into the 'big bad evil corporation' imagery that hard-core leftists so freely use to paint their own 'picture of the world.' Did Halliburton make money by providing needed services to the military. Hell yes they did. Probably several billions of dollars. Could the US Government have done it cheaper than Halliburton ? Could Tulsi have done it cheaper ? No way, and if she were honest about that alone, she might be worth listening to.
2. That the SECOND war on Iraq based on 'lies and falsehoods' which she did not bother to specify so one must simply assume it is the standard propaganda about Iraq NOT having WMD's and being a major supporter Al Queda, specifically the 9-11 attacks. Nothing is ever said about the role of Iraq in the OKC bombing. Remember the 'John Doe #3' manhunt afterwards - the John Doe who was probably one of the Iraquis that the terrorist who WAS convicted met with repeatedly prior to the bombing ? Or the MASSIVE nuclear program the IRAQ was involved in (how many hundreds of thousands of tons of uranium ore was it that they had, again, fully verified), how many IRAQUI nuclear scientists were in Libya working on an atomic bomb design (which Quadaffi admitted to that UN Council) - I believe it was a little over 150, if memory serves. How many chemical warfare munitions were found - how many tons of chemical warfare pre-cursors were found stored WITH those munitions. Oh, right, I forgot those were simply high grade 'pesticides' that Iraq got courtesy of BJ Clinton, right. Oh, Tulsi - is your history THAT weak on a country where you served during war ?
Let's not forget that 'training facility' where the 911 terrorist practiced at - something the MAJOR propaganda networks repeatedly denied, but were proven to exist.
I will say that your Hatch Act violating trip to Syria now makes a little more sense.
Tulsi - ONE CAN NOT and MUST NOT negotiate with terrorists, or with people that state, openly, loudly, and widely that they will always strive to destroy you. That covers BOTH Ukraine and Israel. Neither should negotiate with those that both declared and initiated war on them - THERE IS NEGOTIATING with those that behave that way - there really is only one option with sorts. And that is to destroy those, through a devasting and deadly war, that act that way.
You do not negotiate with bullies, Tulsi - you don't 'treat them better', get to know them, or any other nonsense like that. You beat their butts bloody, you annihilate them.
Sorry - typical leftist claptrap from people that can not understand those that come from a totally different culture than what they themselves have been raised in. It is called 'tunnel vision', Tulsi - and although your words sound good - they do reveal a deeply limited understanding of other cultures, and of actual history. A dangerous lack of understanding and of being able to face the fact that there is TRUE evil in the world. Evil that must never be negotiated with.
End of diatribe - and yes, I have met at least one former member of Hezbollah, now a stalwart Christian, and he would completely agree with the above.
BTW: Tulsi - How many Christians were in Iraq and Afghanistan before the US 'invasions', before Obama's Arab Spring hit Syria, in Northern Sudan before the genocide there (yeah, you talib), in Lebanon before Hamas/Iran/Hezbollah and many other countries. How many Christians are STILL in Afghanistan or Iraq today - or any of those 'negotiated peace' countries ? What happened to THOSE 'civilians'. You really ought to take a tad bit of look at 'that result'.
