...when I am trying to "Save" a photo with one hand while holding my mouse in the other I have similar problems.

I gave my e-mail address to a guy who had a really hot camera and asked him to please send me copies of any good photos he took. He said he would... but we'll see if he follows through. My own photos are shown in the next post. They're beauts, I think you'll agree. There's severe distortion - some likely exacerbated by my literally holding a sun filter against the camera while wearing solar eyeglasses that made it impossible to see the camera's screen. Double images. Overexposure. Sauron's Eye. A tripod is required for a decent picture, you see, and I didn't have one.

Totality lasts 4 minutes if you're lucky. It's amazing. The corona seems to sparkle. The onset of darkness is also amazing. You go from dingy daylight to dark in about 30 seconds. It's the same in reverse when you emerge from totality. One moment it's still dark... and 30 seconds later you're back to daytime. Everybody should experience it at least once. It's an event they won't forget... a GOOD one, and more deserving of a prestigious spot on one's bucket list than, say, going parachuting or seeing a tornado. (Among non-family events, only my first hike/climb of Yosemite's Half Dome, back in '97, ranks higher.)
