excellent points Beldin!

Miz micro and I are blessed to have our oldest Daughter, the Professor, (now I have two of em, our very own on the board and my oldest daughter) and her family nearby and check on us and spend time with us.

Obviously our younger one is down in Zim's neighborhood, Virginia Beach. Only way I am going there is by Jet into Norfolk.

Which just gave me an idea.....

This is quite excellent.

I especially liked ~ "... who had an analogue childhood and a digital adulthood." Very apropos.

While I am on the latter end of this time range, I well remember everything mentioned here ... well ... except for "listening to the cricket live on the radio" ... and I don't remember watching black and white movies at the theater, unless you count Mel Brooks' "Young Frankenstein" (a FANTASTIC movie!).

This is spot-on. Cherish your family and friends, and keep moving forward until your Father calls you home.

Oh ... and as an aside ... "because your children will soon not be yours" ... I understand the intention, here, but no ... they are ALWAYS yours ... never stop loving them and spending as much time as possible with them.
