If you've got an interest in quantum mechanics, get 'In Search of Schrödinger's Cat.' It should set you back about seven bucks on AbeBooks.com. It can be understood by an interested and dedicated layman like me - which says a lot given the heady subject matter.

I read it last year and intend to read it again... SOON.

I'm currently midway through a book on the other pedestal of modern physics, Relativity, by the same author: John Gribbin.

For me, it's baffling why any human being would not try to understand the universe in which we live. We're lucky enough to live in a time when at least some of its deeper mysteries are being revealed (if not yet mastered.)
