I think I read that just before this attack, hezbollah did shoot a bunch of rockets at Israel - and the 'pundit' was opining that hezbollah did so to cause Israel to shoot through a bunch of their anti-missile missiles. (Making it easier for a major missile attack from iran to get through.)

Of course, in my opinion, if iran DID manage to do significant damage to one or more Israeli cities - the correct response would be to nuke several iranian cities.

Well, yeah ... Saudi Arabia and Iraq are to the east of Jordan. If these things are crossing over Jordanian air space from Iran, then they have to go over either Saudi Arabia or Iraq (maybe even Kuwait) to get there. I'm kinda surprised Iran just didn't use its Hezbollah proxies in Syria because if they go out of their way to piss off the Saudis and the Jordanians, it could have the effect of pushing several Arab states and Israel closer together.
