A second item from the same auction, a cordless electric snow blower. This too is a gamble: the auction house did not test it and we still haven't. However, it was just $6 and came with two heavy lithium batteries and a charger. Most of this auction's lots were high-quality so I'm optimistic.

After they brought the lot to us and we were headed to the truck, my wife heard another customer squawking that her Picker's Lot (miscellaneous items) included a lithium battery. "Who took my battery?" she was yelling. LOL. The batteries clearly went with the snow blower. In fact, the second one was already IN the snow blower. We weren't in the mood for a fight and didn't even slow down. When we got home. we took a look at her Picker's Lot. Sure enough, the battery was shown in two of her lot's many photos, plugged in and charging... probably so the auction house could test the snow blower (which they claimed to have not done.)

I can see the woman's point. The auction house blew it, and they'll probably need to give her something for her missing lithium battery. But I don't feel bad about it. It was our battery too. The auction house accidentally double-sold it. The woman couldn't have had any use for a miscellaneous lithium battery so why should she care? BTW, her lot, like our snow blower, sold for $6. She did well. You guys aren't even seeing the whole lot... it included a wheelbarrow and other good stuff. I'm impressed that she even noticed that the battery was missing.

Below, I've posted the snow blower and one of the Picker's Lot photos showing our battery and charger.

We took a gamble this week and plunked down one dollar for this Epson EMP-S1 Projector. It has no power cord so we can't tell if it works. However, I just found the power cord for $1.43 on Amazon, so we'll know in a few days.

In the way back, like 2003, this was a GREAT projector. It works well even in a lit room. Its MSRP was $1,795, though it was quickly reduced to $999 and discontinued a year later when the new model came out. But does it work?

We could also find that it works but the $200 bulb needs replacing. Somehow I doubt that it will be $1.43...
