When it comes to the weather, I guess looks can be deceiving. That line of clouds in Kentucky is mostly moving east, and Cincinnati isn't going to get a whole lot more precipitation than we will.

It will be interesting to see the storm results for Tennessee and Kentucky. I don't think "green" necessarily leads to tornadoes, but I'm sure it means a whole lot of water.

It's 4 a.m. and the dog woke me up. He doesn't usually do that; at night he's a sound sleeper. I figured there must be a reason so I took him outside. Nope. It was beginning to rain, which he doesn't like, so he futzed around briefly and came back to the door.

I thought maybe I heard thunder, so I checked the forecast and saw that "Heavy" Rain was headed our way in the next half hour, but it would quickly pass. We don't often get heavy rain here, though I've seen TORRENTIAL rain a few times. Maybe it's that. If you look at the weather map below, you'll see a touch of blue in Vermont. Those clouds are coming this way.

More significantly, look at the green over Kentucky. It looks like that will be hitting Ohio in a few minutes. Cincinnati looks like it's going to get clobbered.

So, micro, how are things out there this very early morning?
