That is stark, cold, reality sire!
Although I will say that my previous 2 pups were from Kennels ( Not including myself) and my current Boy I drove about 60 miles to go get him as a just weaned pup who was the last one left in the litter of eight. His owners said he was the runt of the litter but he was so cute.
He is mostly Red Heeler (aussie cattle dog) with beautiful coat and spots and as the breed implies he is used for Herding other animals and takes commands readily. He's extremely smart and we have to watch what we say in his ear range because he knows what we are talking about..
But talk about a affectionate friend who listens to you and obeys commands and yet is still affectionate.
He is always at my side.. He is a daddy's boy for sure.
Sleeps in his bed right next to me (on the floor) every night..
Back to yer original comment. When we recognize that we really aren't much its a wonder that they still want us anyway..
