Hey Zim!

Miz micro and I met Newt's sister or cousin, can't remember which, in upper northern Virginia at a political women's tank where my daughter interned one summer. She was very nice and we were introduced and I noted her name I asked her if Newt was a relative and she told yes, he was a brother. She was very kind and very smart both!

In my opinion, FWIW, Newt was the best SPEAKER in my lifetime..

Amazing how easily it is to forget important people over time like I do.. Wish I didn't...

The late 1990's . . . Dot-Com stock market bubble. 'Surpluses as far as the eye can see' . . .

And did Gingrich and crew start knocking down some of the debt . . . No Sir. congress embarked on the mother of all wasteful spending programs - earmarks for everybody. Spend like the party will last forever.

Then in 2000 the party came to a screeching halt.
