wuz it still alive when he swallowed it?

I really dislike those things and we get them here.

My area not as bad as say where my parents lived about 25 miles north and slightly east..

They are truly noisy critters.. My dog has not seen them yet so it will be interesting how he reacts to them..

I forgot about them coming up this year.. Dang.. It will be noisy around here for a spell. I am confident RIBS will come up with original Cicada recipes that our southerners might find to be a genuine delicacy.

Cicadas and Grits wif a little Maple syrup. A Southern favorite I hear.....

Re: “Here are some cicada recipes to try.”
They taste like lima beans. No, I didn't eat a cicada, but my son chewed up and ate a live one after I dared him. Don't ever do that. I found out later that eating uncooked cicadas and grasshoppers is a good way to get parasites like hairworm.
