Seriously ... this shows that the supposed "plot to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer" was actually pushed hard by the FBI as nothing but a ploy to entrap a small group of bumbling, big-mouthed dudes who otherwise couldn't have pulled off a convenience store heist. As the country is a hot mess of horrible in more ways than one under the current leadership, it's easy for things to sort of fall off your radar. Take for example, the FEDnapping hoax - a.k.a., a so-called plot from a Michigan militia to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer.
You guys remember that, yes? When a militia was somehow inspired by Trump or white supremacy or something to try and kidnap GRETCH?
Yeah, it sounds stupid when you say it like that but ... it was real.
A real hoax, that is.
AND, real stupid ... so stupid, in fact, that this tiny group of screw-ups even figured out it was stupid and decided to pass on it ... until, that is, the FBI intervened and tried hard to convince them it was actually a good idea. Doesn't the FBI have better uses for its time ... like trying to prosecute parents who show up at school board meetings to complain about the lack of education being provided to their kids???!!!
