Which is why I put 'peace treaty' in quotes. Russia is unlikely to abide by any such 'agreement' any longer than it must. But with Ukraine a NATO member and NATO having no desire to invade Russia peace becomes possible. If only because with several nuclear armed NATO members and a nuclear armed Russia . . . invasion from either entity would likely lead to nuclear armaggeddon.
The same 'nuclear standoff' that has kept Russia and the United States from going to war with each other all these past decades.
