There was a runoff election today.
Got to the voting area about half hour before the close. Absolutely no line. Usually there is a lot of turnout, packed parking, and both Dems and Repubs vote at the same place. This time it was marked as being a Republican voting precinct - first time ever.
Well, went to one of the workers, handed over my drivers license. The gal told me "If you're a Democrat you cant vote." Then quickly corrected it to, "IF your a Democrat, you can't vote HERE."
I smiled and promptly replied, "I liked it better the first time ... "If you're a Democrat you can't vote ... ( and we both said at the same time ) PERIOD.
Best laugh of the day for me.
