If the dead perp is lyin' on carpet, it's already ruined and will have to be replaced, anyway. If it's on tile, it'll wait and can be easily cleaned up later. If it's hard wood ... well ... he might wanna clean it up, some, and put some old towels around the body before he heads back to bed.
This is Texas ... ya don't have to drag the body outdoors, no mo' ... you can leave the corpse in da house and they'll still pin a medal on your chest.
