The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still purely primitive, legends which are nevertheless pretty childish.ā€¯ - Albert Einstein

Let's see. Here's something from the Bible. It comes from Samuel, NKJV:

David and Goliath
17 Now the Philistines gathered their armies together to battle, and were gathered at Sochoh, which belongs to Judah; they encamped between Sochoh and Azekah, in Ephes Dammim. 2 And Saul and the men of Israel were gathered together, and they encamped in the Valley of Elah, and drew up in battle array against the Philistines. 3 The Philistines stood on a mountain on one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on the other side, with a valley between them.

4 And a champion went out from the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, from Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span.

I'll stop there. Six cubits and a span. So Goliath was 9' 9". Yeah, sure. I'll read the rest on my own to see if any magic beans and geese that lay golden eggs are involved.

Einstein was right. Some aspects of the Bible are just childish. I'll go further and say "impossible."

The tallest man to ever live (that we know of) was 8' 11" when he died at age 22. His heart couldn't pump blood through his massive body. His bones were strained by the weight. He died horribly.

But what do I know? Maybe Goliath was being assisted by God. I've heard of bankers who help both sides in a war. Maybe God does too.

Score one for Einstein. He described it accurately.

Both Arrogant.
