Re: “Scripture is replete with accounts of "Giants".”
That's why I don't read the Bible, particularly the Old Testament. I don't have the patience, or time, or inclination to read a book that is sometimes maybe true and sometimes definitely false. Perhaps you do but I don't. While I describe it as a book of well intentioned parables not to be taken literally, Einstein's opinion is just as valid. It's childish to think that there were ever ten foot giant humans roaming the Earth. The human heart and skeletal structure cannot handle the strain.

Additionally, if there were giants, where are they today? Did they mate with dwarfs and we are their progeny? Where are their bones? Paleontologists and archaeologists dig up ancient human bones all the time. There are no giants. In fact, the human predecessors are always SMALLER than modern man. Gorillas are larger... but, of course, we didn't descend from gorillas. Where are their giant homes? Outside of television, where is 'the Land of the Giants'?

No, Goliath may have been big, but he wasn't a ten-footer. Or 'David & Goliath' is, as I suspect, a parable created at a time when it hadn't been medically proven that people who grow to Goliath's pretended size will necessarily be fragile, weak and short-lived.
