Beldin and Professor

You guys are fortunate to have a man like Greg Abbott as your governor in Texas.

When his term is done there, could you convince him to come to Ohio and run for that same office here?

Most of us would not know how to act if we had a real MAN with morals and a backbone for doing RIGHT for the people of the state.. And stopping the wasteful spending of tax dollars.

I envy you all in Texas...

A Texas prosecutor backed by left-wing billionaire George Soros announced in a Tuesday press conference he is asking the state’s highest court to rescind a pardon issued to Army veteran Daniel Perry.

Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas pardoned Perry, an Uber driver who shot and killed a gun-wielding protester during a July 2020 riot, in May following a recommendation by the state’s Board of Pardons and Paroles. Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza said he was asking the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals to order Abbott to withdraw the pardon during the Tuesday press conference. ...

Garza’s 2020 election bid received hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations from groups tied to Soros, such as the Texas Justice & Public Safety PAC, according to campaign finance documents. ...

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles conducted a review of Daniel Perry’s personal history and the facts surrounding the July 2020 incident and recommended a full pardon and restoration of full civil rights of citizenship. This was an appropriate recommendation because Perry found himself in the middle of a riot on the streets of Austin, getting his car pounded by the rioters, and then one of the rioters, Garrett Foster, unwisely brandished an AK-47-style rifle at him. Perry shot his ass. I would have, too.

Governor Greg Abbott's response?

NOT
GONNA
HAPPEN

The Texas Constitution provides: In all criminal cases, the Governor shall have power, after conviction, on the written signed recommendation and advice of the Board of Pardons and Paroles, to grant pardons.
