I believe it mostly the Georgia boys plus some Ali Bamans
who gave it all they had to get up little round top and almost succeeded.
IMO,
and I have no horses in this other than a few Pennsylvania Black Rifles, but iffen the Rebs had half as many men as the Union forces, the outcome would have been far, far more bloody and possibly different.
IN reflection I am glad about the outcome because of I do not believe in enslaving people and the States are as one country far stronger United rather than divided.
It was a war of attrition, a numbers game..
A man's life apparently wasn't worth much and in my opinion Grant was nothing short of murderer. Not of the enemy but of his OWN MEN.
