Yet it took time to grasp how isolating, debilitating and toxic the legislature would become for them. And how, one day, they would reach their limit.

Well, apparently Miss Turner is feeling put upon because she got herself censured by the Oklahoma Legislature. A protestor against a bill to ban certain gender transition procedures for children threw water on another Oklahoma Representative and had a physical altercation with a police officer. It seems this protestor managed to squirm away and Miss Turner gave this person refuge in her office. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol officers said Miss Turner refused to unlock her office door to allow for the apprehension of the protestor.
