“ But what is a “machine gun”? Writing for the 6-3 majority of the Supreme Court, Thomas stated, “We hold that a semiautomatic rifle equipped with a bump stock is not a ‘machinegun’ because it cannot fire more than one shot ‘by a single function of the trigger.’ And, even if it could, it would not do so ‘automatically.’ ATF therefore exceeded its statutory authority by issuing a Rule that classifies bump stocks as machineguns.”

Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote for the three dissenters, “When I see a bird that walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, I call that bird a duck. A bump-stock-equipped semiautomatic rifle fires ‘automatically more than one shot, without manual reloading, by a single function of the trigger.’ Because I, like Congress, call that a machinegun, I respectfully dissent.” She noted that “a rifle equipped with a bump stock can fire at a rate between 400 and 800 rounds per minute.”

Thomas did not explain of course how a finger can engage a trigger 800 times a minute. Laughing Laughing Laughing

I think only the Beldin troll’s fingers can approach such a rate of speed as he has been trying for decades to lengthen his little dick with …vigorous pulling and pushing…….pump actions……

Anyway, the definition of machine gun should touch on the rate of fire attainable, not ….pussy fingering, ala Trump, the trigger. That’s the bottom line, 800 bullets a minute.
