THAT has a LOT to do with feeling uncomfortable..
Its always high in the Ohio Valley. Combine that with temps in the high 80's and low to mid nineties and the heat just LAYS on ya like a blanket..
Higher temps without a lot of Humidity are far easier on us. Unfortunately, here and Chattanooga are like the Kings of Humidity. Both in Valley.
I'm glad ya can get away without the A/C . Ya can't do it here or Atlanta either.
One thing that works out for us is we purchased a Heat Pump that is a tad oversized in rating for our house.
We leave it on all the time and thermostat is set at constant 70 degrees.
It works.
Let me say this as well for a comparison.
It is still LESS HUMID and HOT here that being in the Jungles in summer time.. So I won't complain to loudly.. AT least there are not ANY poisonous snakes here to worry about like those two step Vipers.
