Add a car battery in parallel and no problems. Smooths out surges.

Car charging circuit is 12.8v to 13.8-14v +/- (depends on rpms) so you're well within 'safe range'.

I've got a power supply that draws wall power and produces 13.8 volts DC (4 amp constant / 6 amp surge). Will it damage my automobile electronics - CB radios, stereos, etc. if I use it to run them while indoors? I assume not, but I was expecting the power supply to say that it produced 12 volts DC, not 13.8.

Do any of you know?

P.S. I would ask on the Pffart4 board using an alias... but I'd like to get the right answer.
