...other government officials have limited immunity. If a cop is chasing a criminal he/she can exceed the speed limit because it's part of his job. If he is driving around drunk and is violating traffic laws he has no immunity because it is not part of his job.

...If you get arrested and lie to the cops you can be jailed for it. If the cops lie to you there is no violation of the law either

...the United States is a Sovereign country so why would the president not be a soverign president within certain limitations. The wise latino has zero comprehension of that which she speaks. Probably takes lessone from joe.

clo doesn't understand what the word "official" means and is therefore freaking out.

It means "part of the job," clo. Courts can still prosecute a president who commits crimes out of the scope of his work. If a president gives a political speech that turns into a riot, he can't be prosecuted. If he stops his motorcade, gets out and robs a bank, he CAN be prosecuted.

It's not supposed to be easy to prosecute the man who runs the country. The courts have said you can't do it at all if what he's doing is in the scope of his job. And if you don't like that, then too bad. Don't forget that his ruling will sometimes favor the left. Right now, though, you're just having a tantrum over the fact that Democrats were counting on usurping the People's apparent choice for president and won't be able to. Shame on you. What you tried to do OUGHT to be a hanging offense and isn't. But, who knows? Maybe President Trump will do something about that.

Now you can resume freaking out.
