An AP story that came out last year claimed that ONE PERCENT of trannies later experience "transition regret." https://apnews.com/article/transgender-treatment-regret-detransition-371e927ec6e7a24cd9c77b5371c6ba2b Does anyone here believe that? One percent is particularly unrealistic when you consider that "Research indicates that transgender people are somewhat more likely to have a psychiatric diagnosis. The most common are anxiety and depression." Elsewhere, you can find this about the study: "These authors defined “regret” as a patient who came back to the clinic after surgery to access hormones that would reverse their gender transition." That, obviously, does NOT map to "regret." I bet there are plenty of patients who have the surgery and regret it but are never treated to reverse the procedure. Some of them just find it easier to kill themselves than to experience "regret."

My suspicion is that most of those who become trannies come to regret it. Most likely, those who haven't been surgically altered will go off the meds and reverse whatever damage was done once their initial enthusiasm wanes. Living one's life as a freak, after all, has got to wear on a gal, wouldn't you think?

A few weeks ago, zz posted about having lunch at a bar with trannies. He's a regular and finds it entertaining. Why am I not surprised?? I too would find it entertaining or at least interesting in a disgusting sort of way... once. Who wouldn't love a clown?
