I can hear the howling already of how unjust that is to require people to vote in person for about 95 different excuses..

That kind of stuff does not happen in Ohio with our system of voting. iffen yer name isn't in the registered to vote registry, you don't vote .

If there is any remote question about voter eligibility yer vote gets put into an manila envelope and will only be scrutinized if it is required for it to be counted in an election due to extreme tightness in a race.

To my knowledge, that hasn't happened here yet. I was a voting precinct Judge for 5 years and am speaking from experience. I was responsible for accounting for every ballot that was given us and had to to do a balance of the ballots at the close of voting hours. Then under lock and key those cast ballots I transported to the Elections Bureau in the County Election Headquarters.

The people there reviewed the ballots given us, how many we had remaining and how many votes the computer tabulated. It was double check for accuracy.

We no longer help at the voting stations due to age and other reasons but it was an enjoyable day talking with all the different people we got to know in our precinct..

Many were neighbors.

There are over 80,000 people in my township.

It's easy, Zim.

No purple thumb, no vote. Either ya vote in person, or not at all.

Hyup, that proverbial snowball in hades, I know the drill.
