They aren't too happy about being approached on isolated land by someone who is openly carrying, either.Re: “Mormons ... last one I witnessed to was a solitary black man - told him I was a bit stunned that he was a Mormon - given their history with 'blacks'. ”The Mormon families I've known have been the best PEOPLE I've ever met. They'd give you the shirts off their backs, and the love I saw in their families was beyond belief. Mormons, IMO, are doing something very RIGHT.

Years ago, when I was fairly new to the whole "Marriage" concept, my wife and I toured the Mormon Tabernacle. We made a point of picking up a copy of their brochure giving advice on the raising of kids. I took many of its tips to heart. The Mormons' "Family Night," (Monday with the adherents I knew.) was a wonderful idea that all parents ought to embrace. On Family Night, nobody in the family goes out. Friends don't visit. Nobody watches TV. The families talk, play games, sing songs and do things together. It's a simple idea, but brilliant. If all families did it, they'd bond and strengthen. It would make the world a better place.

I respect the Mormons. I can't say that about any other religious group.

Haven't had one of those 'visitors' in over a decade now. Same for the Mormons.

Witnesses always in pairs, an 'elder' and a trainee. The elder will get the trainee outta there QUICK when confronted with someone like me. They can't stand being Biblically challenged.

Mormons ... last one I witnessed to was a solitary black man - told him I was a bit stunned that he was a Mormon - given their history with 'blacks'. He apparently did not know about that. Think I went on their 'do not call' list quickly thereafter. btw: They are/were usually two man teams - young white boys - part of their missionary requirements to grajiate to ultimately becoming 'gods' - which is also, a part of their teachings.

Whoops - the black guy was a JW - and JW's have an even worse history.

Brain fart.
