I assume that journalists will make messes of technical subjects. I'm okay with that so long as their gaffs are honest ones. Few of them are trained in the fields on which they're reporting, after all. If they provide their sources and don't intentionally falsify anything, I'm forgiving. I further assume that editors - who don't know much of anything about the topics their journalists cover - write the headlines to the pieces their staff submit. So headlines can be utter disasters.

Lastly, I assume that clo gets all of her information from headlines - 'cuz she's said that she doesn't read articles. (The woman is so intellectually lazy that she won't even watch videos others post for her.)
