Having watched SOME of the oversight committee into Wray's so-called shooting investigation - Wray came across as NOT BEING evasive or hiding. However, He really did NOT add a single bit of information that was not already in the public domain.
Wray is the most accomplished liar I have EVER seen.
I do believe he blatantly perjured himself when a couple of the questioners went back tp his J6 testimony and pressed him on whether FBI informants were used, and criticized the actions against SO MANY of the protestors. Wray quickly got on his high horse about issues. Claiming he would NEVER divulge when informants were or were not used, and then went on to LIE about how 'the rights of the J6 protestors were fully protected, that NONE of them had their Constitutional Rights violated, that they ALL received full and fair due process, access to discovery, legal representation blah blah blah. And then he went on with a full blown RANT about how he RESENTED ANY IMPLICATION that J6 was staged/abetted by the FBI, and that he resented the implication that the FBI would do anything of that sort, and that .... blah blah blah - the full 'We did our jobs professionally, brilliantly, and well' spiel. Oh, and that he hadn't even heard about the 'Gallows Stuff' with the (justified) implications about FBI involvement.
NOT A SINGLE REPRESENTATIVE had the opportunity to cross him on those claims NOR did any confront him with the ABSOLUTE COURT ESTABLISHED FACTS about FBI INSTIGATION AND PUSHING the FBI MANUFACTURED plot involving Whitmer. Those REPRESENTATIVES should have dressed that smug little baah-stud (intentional wording) down to size, and have immediately moved for a contempt of Congress finding and prosecution for those statements alone.
My stomach hasn't been up to wading the entire sewage of Wray's testimony - but I was pretty angry at that which I have viewed.
As to not answering about 'fibbie informants/contractors/ inciters/ instigators' of J6 because the fbi needs to protect their methods and stooges - WHO THE HELL DOES HE THINK HE IS ?
The House has the CONSTITUTIONAL AUTHORITY TO DEMAND those answers and throw his ass in jail for obstruction already committed and continuing. The FBI can NOT be allowed to 'oversee' themselves - THAT IS THE JOB OF CONGRESS, and by DAMN he MUST be forced to comply with that LEGAL OVERSIGHT. Christopher Wray, more than anybody else except Brandon, believes he and 'his' agency are above the law, above OUTSIDE accountability.
HE IS NOT - and it is HIGH TIME that Congress make that painfully clear to that arrogant SOB.
No more of this 'it is an ongoing investigation and we can not comment on ongoing cases' - or 'we can not reveal confidential sources'. BULLCRAP.
And once again monkeytrots demonstrates why he holds that self-chosen nom de querre.
