The Frenchies already found out back in 2015 with the Muhammad cartoons published by the leftist, satirical, weekly magazine, Charlie Hebdo - two French-born, Algerian mooslim brothers went on a shooting spree (killed 12 and wounded 11). If you mock the rabid, intolerant, mooslim death-cult, they will murderously retaliate, so the Frenchies in brown pants are too hysterically terrified to do that again. Therefore, they would rather target others who, instead of violent retribution, respond with noting and calling out the bigoted derision.
