5 billion dollar program
First release of funds was 1 billion dollars for 2500 busses
As of today only 60 busses have been fielded from the first billion $$$.
To get credit in the program the school districts need to destroy one diesel bus for each electric bus. An Alaska district has field a single bus,but they haven’t received credit because they don’t want to destroy their single diesel bus they have. They don’t trust the electric. They are afraid school kids will be stranded out in the freezing cold in a broken down electric bus.
