If you want to conceal it, just tear open the walls and put the explosve there.

This exact scenario was in a movie I saw some years ago. I don't remember which one, though. Maybe Mission Impossible, or James Bond, or even Taken, but more likely something I'll never remember. In the movie, the bomb was planted in a hotel room months ahead of time... just like what we're hearing.
