Morning De!
Nah. Boot camp simply taught us to obey orders from our superiors while we wuz on duty in a war.
The reasoning is very simple.
IN order to have clarity of direction on a battlefield with real bullets and grenades and mortars trying to kill ya if the vipers didn't, there can only be one conductor or chess master moving the pieces and making decisions to accomplish victory. What you as a grunt are hoping is that he is right and that your brothers in arms are alongside ya providing additional fire. Ultimately the aim is to stay alive and kill as many enemy as is possible.
When ya is in a battle and you and your unit are trying to gain advantage sometimes iffen ya are on a wing you have to make some decisions and sometimes they are group ones. LT was not always with us and sarge was pretty much alongside us. We leaned on him for his experience but we never had to question authority. We did have the leeway to share a different thought and once in a while Sarge went with that one. Nobody knows everything or thinks of every scenario which is why one should always keep an open mind.. Otherwise in combat you ALL wind up the same way. DEAD.
Same could maybe said for miz ribit. Ribs could wind up seriously injured if miz Ribit is anything like miz micro... The older she gets the more authoritative she becomes..
when we married she was so timid and 50 years later a complete 180 degree swing. I guess I have that impact on people ...... lol!!!!!!!
