Decomposed > A year into the pandemic, when the vaccine became available, I'd educated myself enough to know that I wanted nothing to do with it. New medical technologies are often dangerous,

First I had heard of the covid . . .
Was in a 'Strategy Page' article pointing out that on a cruise ship (with lots of old people) folks got hammered. On an aircraft carrier (lots of strong young men) many guys got it, got over it, and never even knew they had it.

Realizing that 'corona viruses' were more related to cold and flu viruses than anything else, and that they mutate . . . I was pretty sure that any 'vaccine' was unlkikely to be particularly effective in 'protecting' folks from it.

Add in that folks with healthy immune systems and vitamin-D were less likely to be hammered by the covid . . . Elderberry Gummies and a vitamin D supplement and I'd take my chances. Particularly when I had the media trying to tell me that a very old anti-malaria drug with an excellent safety record was a 'vile poison'.

Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin both were slandered as 'vile poison' and 'horse medicine' and yet both were pretty much harmless old drugs, long out of patent, and thus relatively inexpensive . . . And they both appeared to work.

Yet the biden administration and their media maven boot licking lackeys were bent on lying about them AND pushing a vaccine - that was NOT a vaccine in any sense of the word - which was more related to a mad science experiment than anything related to 'practicing medicine' . . . No thank you.

Then the Vaccine Adverse Reaction Reporting System reporting that a LOT of people had been killed by the 'vaccine' . . . and yet 'they' were STILL pushing the 'jungle juice'?

And a military flight surgeon recommending that helicopter pilots NOT get vaccinated for fear of having a heart attack while flying 'high speed military maneuvers' ????

Decomposed > Heads should be rolling today because of that.

And I fully agree with you on that De.

Re: “...lemmings who, in their lil' black, autocratic hearts, thought that anyone who didn't kowtow to their pseudo-scientific demands (you, De, me, etc.) would probably be dead by now. ”
Many of them went a step beyond that, WANTING us to be dead.

This is a long post, so be sure to scroll down...

And I’m really of mind to say, ‘Look, if you didn’t get vaccinated and you got Covid, you don’t get into a hospital.’”

Vaccinated person having a heart attack? Yes, come right on in, we'll take care of you. Unvaccinated guy who gobbled horse goo? Rest in peace, wheezy"

Wow. I didn't think I'd be reliving THIS topic again! A lot of old memories are coming back.

Very early in the pandemic, I knew that some aspects of its handling were definitely ... fishy. We were told after little more than one month that the medical knowledge of a hundred years with regard to mask effectiveness was incorrect. Then we were told that the virus came from a Chinese meat market that, coincidentally, was just two or three hundred yards away from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. And, although the infection was killing people, we received NO advice on what to do if we caught it. "Wait until it gets bad and then see if a hospital will admit you," we were told.

That was lunacy.

When hydroxychloroquine - an extraordinarily safe drug that had been used for decades - was virtually banned because Donald Trump was the one who had suggested it, it was clear that the pandemic had been politicized. Heads should be rolling today because of that. I don't care if the drug was effective or not, there was no alternative being suggested and hydroxychloroquine at least gave people HOPE.

A year into the pandemic, when the vaccine became available, I'd educated myself enough to know that I wanted nothing to do with it. New medical technologies are often dangerous, and they take a decade of testing. I'd read that half of the new drugs approved as "safe" by the FDA in 2000 were either removed from the market or carried stern warnings ten years later. And those weren't new technologies. So, what were the chances that a pretend-vaccine thrown together in mere months would both work and be safe? Mighty slim, I thought.

Moreover, an epidemiologist I was following and had come to respect (Chris Martinson) pointed out that it was common knowledge in his field that the time to vaccinate a population is BEFORE a pandemic breaks out. Afterward, it is too late. Vaccinating during a pandemic absolutely guarantees the development and spread of vaccine-resistant mutations. It's a stupid, stupid idea that probably played a role in the extraordinary duration of SARS-CoV-2 and its many variants.

As you put it, Beldin, people were bamboozled. But they didn't have to be. I have no medical background but I *do* have some critical thinking skills and a knack for recognizing bullshit when I encounter it. I could see that doctors left and right were being forced to recommend something that was not adequately tested. When I tried discussing things with my doctors (remember, I had my surgery just as the pandemic was starting, so by the time of the vaccine I knew a lot of doctors), it was clear that some wouldn't discuss the subject and others were EMBARRASSED by what I was telling them. I'll never forget the words of my cardiologist when I asked him why the medical world was behaving the way it was. He said, "'Decomposed,' you know why." He didn't say I was wrong. He didn't say I was ill informed. He didn't challenge me on any of what I'd heard or on my reasoning. When I saw him again a year later (no longer needing frequent follow-ups), he brought up the subject. At the end of THAT discussion, he said, "I do advise my patients to get vaccinated. And I am vaccinated. All of my staff are vaccinated." Then he paused and said, "But I'll tell you this: I won't be getting any of the boosters."

Yup. I can read between the lines. His message came through loud and clear.
