Nate Silver on the race
Last update: 3:45 p.m., Monday, August 12: After another series of very strong polls in the Blue Wall states of Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin, Harris has risen again to a 55 percent chance of winning the Electoral College. There are some caveats here — these polls have small sample sizes. We still think the race is best described a toss-up, but perhaps you could say it “tilts” toward Harris by the slightest amount.
