And why should a person working in a full-service restaurant get a break on their taxes when the person working across the street at a fast food restaurant, who does not get tips but is paid the same net amount, has to pay taxes on all of their income.

"Tipping turns out to be a subsidy to the restaurant owners, who no longer have to pay a normal wages, but additionally have been excluded from paying SS and Medicare taxes on said wages, let alone any benefits."
