First of all, Democrats fervently believe it is their sovereign right to rule - not govern - RULE. Government is simply the tool and THEY believe themselves to be the overlords of the government - so, in their fevered minds, the hard-earned wealth of all Americans belongs to them - to distribute out to their cronies as they see fit. For them, the tax code is simply the mechanism for calculating how much the plebes get to keep for their own needs.
Obama, Biden, and now Harris don't give a sh!t about the economic health of American citizens, in general ... all they care about is the economic health of the federal government, which they believe is their sovereign right to control.
