My older brother had a knee replaced last year as an outpatient and was walking same day. He had in home exercise therapy for a week and after that he was getting around really well on THAT knee. He needs to get his other done as well. At least now he knows what to expect...

My wife's knee was replaced over 12 years ago. It was whole different recovery back then..

Glad it worked well for your friend! Nothing like being able to walk and not in pain.. Thumbs Up

A friend of mine had a knee replacement last month. His wife texted us at 9:00 AM that day saying they were getting him ready for the surgery. At 2:30 she texted and said they were getting ready to go home.
We were over to see him couple days after. This was day five after surgery. He was walking around on his own without the walker or cane. Had very little pain. Just in the evening after being up all day. He was having physical therapy every day for 30 minutes. He said he’ll be back playing golf in September.

I was amazed at how well it went. My father had one 30 years ago. It took him 6 weeks to recover.
