Giving ones self to help others is a hallmark of Christianity and Christ's direct teaching when he was here on earth. If we have the means or ability to help someone in need, GOD wants us to Honor HIM and DO what HE would have done and have us to do.
I am guilty of not always following this commandment of HIS and it always comes back to my memory when I fail.
Conviction of not doing something I know I could and should have done.
When I move on from this world to my new and eternal Home with HIM, I want my record to please HIM and hear, "Well done my good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of THY Lord"
That should be what all Believers should want. Its not a denominational thing. IT IS a direct order from GOD the SON recorded in HIS BOOK The Bible.
IF ya has doubts about the authenticity of scripture and the preservation of HIS Words, I suggest reading Psalm chapter 12 and verses 6 and 7.
That command and scripture has been kept thru the ages.
NOT everyone is going to believe the WORDS of GOD or take them as what they are. FAITH is an INDIVIDUAL thing. NOBODY is forced or coerced to to place their eternal trust and spirit in Christ.. But they should... They are playing Russian Roulette and will be sorry when they lose for an eternity... That's a long time...
