sir wizard,
I enjoy college football even if that means rooting for my alma mater which has been a perennial patsy in the Big 12 conference cuz every time we get a great head coach, some other ginormous even bigger school hires them away.

Brian Kelly, Luke Fickel are two examples.

Cincinnati has never been a football powerhouse except for a couple of season in my lifetime.

Ohio State has just a few national titles in its collection. How many does Texas have?

With the Big Ten adding top schools into its conference like Washington and Oregon the conference, like the SEC, just got stronger..
Ohio State has a great class of athletes this year. They should have a great season but there is more tough opponents now with those new additions..

As for being delusional, well, I've been called worse.
Oklahoma has NOT been the powerhouse it was in years gone by. Texas on the other hand has risen its game and is a tough hombre.. I will find it interesting watching this first season in the SEC for these two schools.

I enjoy good football being played on the field. Two evenly matched great football schools going head to head is something to watch.. I like the competition as I was a former player in Ohio Big School division in High School. We won two state titles. My brother in Law played for the Buckeyes as their place kicker for Woody Hayes.

So my roots run deep in football as my grandson was named ALL CITY starting linebacker in greater Cincinnati area.

He has one more semester of college and he graduates with a perfect GPA. Such a polite, quite spoken kind young man. I am really very proud of him and his sister who is the Catcher in Women's softball at the University.

Good luck to the Horns this season. Should be an exciting year for them.. Thumbs Up

Oh, if you don't believe that Texas and Oklahoma are not already fully aware that their football seasons just got a whole lot tougher being in the SEC, then you are delusional, my friend. 'Course, you're an Ohio State fan ... so, delusion comes with the territory.

Wink

As far as this weekend's game between the Aggies and the Irish goes, your guess is as good as mine. I like Mike Elko (former Duke head coach) a whole lot better than Jimbo Fisher, but the question will be whether he's had time since taking over the reins to get the Aggies ready. Obviously, we shall see, shortly. I think the Irish are ALWAYS overrated ... so, given that the game is at Kyle Field, I'll place my bet on the Aggies to win the contest.

Professor ... make damn sure they don't make a liar outta me!
