I just a heard a couple of people speculating as to why was it that male politicians are almost always referred to by their surnames, as in Trump or Biden, while female politicians are referred to by their given names, as in Kamala and Hillary. The consensus was that the only possible conclusion that could be drawn was that, by definition, surnames have no gender while given names generally do.
