Okay, Queers for Palestine, time to put up or shut up: A watchdog group is offering your cadre of Jew-hating leftists $1,000,000 to do a gay pride parade in Gaza or the West Bank.
The offer — which comes from longtime LGBTQ rights defender Gregory T. Angelo and his New Tolerance Campaign — is good for any US-based LGBTQ advocacy organization.
So far?
No visible takers.
Color us shocked!
These wokists (the ones in charge, anyway) know perfectly well that any such parade would risk lynching for the participants.
After all, gay rights events have been banned in the West Bank since 2019, with any participants under threat of arrest.
In 2016, Hamas killed one of its own senior terror commanders for having sex with another man. In 2022, a young West Bank man was beheaded for being gay, with his killer sharing video of the atrocity on social media.
To escape prison or death, many LGBTQ Palestinians flee to Israel to seek asylum.
Queers for Palestine has a distinct “Redwoods for Lumberjacks” character.
Indeed, it’s bizarre that groups like this exist at all, and that so many LGBTQ advocacy outfits share its hatred of the Jewish state.
Why on earth would such groups support violent, homophobic tyrannies over a liberal democracy like Israel?
(Hint: It rhymes with booze.)
It’s a fact that contemporary left ideology asserts that Jews are oppressors and that LGBTQ people are oppressed and therefore must back the Jew-haters.
What’re a few beheadings between the staunch comrades of the anticolonial resistance?
It’s as incoherent as it is morally ugly, but that’s the way modern leftist “thinking” goes.
So Angelo’s offer — made in total good faith — shines a powerful light on that dark absurdity.
