Wow. So you are directly affected by the prognosticators of weather conditions that may or may not occur and most of the time they are wrong.
What a great racket.. I should start me a boating insurance company were it not for my age and heart condition.
My older brother owned a 26 foot cabin cruiser for lakes and rivers. He was all excited about it when he came home from Lake Erie after a week and told me about it and that he was having someone to haul it down to Lake Cumberland in Kentucky.
He soon discovered that docking fees and maintenance and storage and gasoline were things he had not planned on not to mention the costs of insurance and gasoline for the outboards.
He lasted a year. After he sold it to some person from Tennessee he was giddy and happy again..
YA has to be a special person to own and live on a large boat (yacht) whatever year round.
I am afraid of deep water and won't go in them or on them. I also have a fear of heights. SO I am happy for those who don't have these phobias and can enjoy the nature that God provided for our enjoyment.
Wishing you guys much enjoyment on your home on the water though.. Sounds like you have a lot of enjoyment and fun with it.
