I was there in ‘19 before the Covid debacle. What a place. Stayed in a beautiful bed and breakfast in Pylos, an amazing town on the water, with purple sunsets to die for, had the best breakfasts ever with their own produce, bought a couple of jams and honey. The area, southwestern Peloponnese is self reliant. They need nothing from the outside. They can survive anything. The stuff you buy off little kiosks on the road would put to shame Many “farm to table” claimed setups here.

The Voidokilia beach is stunning but the writer fed its name. In Greek it means belly of the cow, because it looks like one.

Anyway, in Greece, there is far far more than where the “tourists” go. Next year I may go down there spend 3-4 nights at Costa Navarino. I gotta do it. It’s calling me, don’t cha knowit?

Very Happy

P.S. Send the sheep to Mykonos and Santorini, and leave Greece to us Greeks and those who are tired of tourists and crowds.
