Re: "Are there any more resources the federal government could be giving them?" BIDEN: "No."ā€¯
Residents of Georgia may not be too happy with him.

My take, however, is a bit different. Why should the Federal government be giving hurricane victims ANYTHING? I don't think it should. After all, when government gives victims "resources," WE are the ones who foot the bill. Why should I have to help pay for the recovery of someone who gambled on living in hurricane country and lost?

There are a million different bad things that can happen to people. Eventually, we all fall victim to one or more of them. In most cases, the bad things happen ONLY to us (a fallen Christmas tree burns down our house... I die of cancer... a drunk totals our car.) Government isn't going to assist us in any significant way when those things happen. Why should it for Hurricane Helene victims?

Reporter: Do you have any words to the victims of the hurricane?"

BIDEN: "We've given everything that we have."

"Are there any more resources the federal government could be giving them?"

BIDEN: "No."
