This is the season to be out West with 70s, 80s, 60s at night, sunshine all day long, dry air. Went up Pikes Peak, 14300’, third try was a charm as two times years before it was either snowing in summer or terrible thunderstorms. Perfect weather, 40s, lack of oxygen, you feel it as you can get momentarily dizzy at times, but the more you walk and move around there you get acclimated.
Took a ride around the Garden of the Gods, 15 miles, 6400’ altitude, my system felt it, heavy breathing on those stiff hills, dry air, when I came back I started coughing, my chest was raw, had a tea with honey and I stopped coughing. Went for lunch, bison burger, red wine, all good. Next.
